About the Role
As Overseas Purchaser, you'll source quality products from international suppliers, negotiate commercial terms, coordinate shipments, and ensure smooth customs clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate overseas suppliers (auto parts, steel, industrial)
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms
- Coordinate with shipping agents for sea/air freight
- Manage customs documentation and clearance
- Track inventory needs against catalog forecasts
- Build long-term relationships with global suppliers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Trade, or related field
- 3+ years import/sourcing experience
- Strong English communication (written + spoken)
- Familiar with Incoterms, customs procedures, freight
- Detail-oriented with strong negotiation skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in auto parts/industrial sector
- China or Japan supplier network
- Letter of Credit (L/C) handling experience
